On August 1, 2026, Noah Gugnon stepped into the UFC Octagon for the first time and delivered.
Facing Miloš Janičić at UFC Belgrade in Serbia, Noah secured the biggest victory of his professional career, finishing the fight by rear-naked choke in the first round after just 1:21.
It was the kind of UFC debut every fighter dreams about.
But what happened after Belgrade says just as much about Noah as the victory itself.

There was no long celebration and no change in attitude.
Shortly after returning from Belgrade, Noah was already back where so much of the work has been done over the years: on the mats at Casa de Luta MMA Saarbrücken.
Back training. Back with his teammates. Back to the routine.
For us at Casa de Luta, that was a special moment.
The UFC is the biggest stage in mixed martial arts, but reaching that stage doesn’t change where the work happens. It happens during normal training sessions, hard rounds, difficult days and countless hours inside the gym when nobody is watching.
Noah’s return to the mats was a reminder of exactly that.

Winning in the UFC is a huge milestone.
But the mentality remains the same.
Noah came back to Casa de Luta as the same athlete and teammate who trained here before the UFC call: ready to work, learn and keep improving.

A Statement in Belgrade
Noah entered UFC Belgrade against dangerous local favorite Miloš Janičić in a lightweight bout.
He needed only 81 seconds.
After attacking the legs early, Noah followed Janičić to the ground, advanced position, took the back and finished with the rear-naked choke.
Round 1. 1:21. Submission. UFC debut victory.
It was a composed performance on the biggest stage of his career and another finish added to a professional record built almost entirely on stopping opponents.
From Saarbrücken to the UFC
Seeing Noah return to Casa de Luta after winning in the UFC carries a special meaning for our team.
Casa de Luta has always been about more than individual victories. It’s about the people around you, the rounds together, the difficult camps, the coaches, training partners and everyone who contributes along the way.
