On [Friday, 3 October 2025], Casa de Luta had the honor of hosting a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar with Kenta Iwamoto, a B-Team rising star and one of the most respected young grapplers on the international scene. The mats were filled with students eager to sharpen their skills, exchange knowledge, and test themselves in solid rounds with a top-level practitioner.
Who Is Kenta Iwamoto?
Kenta Iwamoto is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt from Japan and a B-Team Jiu-Jitsu rising star. Known for his dynamic, precise style, Kenta has made his mark in prestigious competitions like the IBJJF World Championships, Asian Championships, and ADCC trials. Training and competing under the B-Team banner in Austin, Texas — home to elite grapplers such as Craig Jones and Nick Rodriguez — Kenta continues to build his reputation as one of the sport’s most exciting competitors.

During the seminar, Kenta shared his perspective on modern BJJ concepts, breaking down the small details that make a big difference at the highest level.
